SECTION PINS CRAFT

You will need:

  • 9 1-inch safety pins

  • 1 1¼-inch safety pin

  • 81 coloured "seed" beads

  • A pair of pliers

INSTRUCTIONS
  1. Place the "seed" beads on the 9 1-inch safety pins according to the appropriate pattern that you are following (see the illustrations here).

  2. Take the pliers and pinch closed the end of the safety pins that opens. This will prevent the pins from opening inadvertently and sending the "seed" beads flying everywhere.

  3. Thread the coiled end of the completed pins onto the 1¼-inch safety pin, as shown. Carefully pull each pin around the coil in the larger pin so that the pins are between the head of the big pin and the coil. This secures the beaded pins so that the larger pin can be attached to a hat or vest without all of the other pins falling off (see diagram 2 above).

  4. BE CAREFUL TO MAKE SURE THAT THE PINS ARE PUT ON IN THE CORRECT ORDER AND THAT THE BEADS ARE ALL FACING THE SAME DIRECTION.
