This will also be an opportunity to register for fall 2008!

This is a compulsory activity in which our Group helps our Community by helping to clean up Aquitaine Park. Refreshments will be served. All youth and Leaders are to come and lend a hand (or two ;-) )

As was the case in 2006, our Group hopes to participate in the 2008 Bread & Honey Festival Parade.

ALL parents of with youth in the Group are members of the Group and have the right to attend any Group Committee meeting.

If you have any concerns, suggestions or you just want to find out what is happening, feel free to come out and attend a meeting.

The 1st Meadowvale West Scout Group was chartered in 1953 in the old
village of Meadowvale, now part of Mississauga.
Our current sponsor is the Meadowvale Church Centre.

The group is run by a Group Committee made up of parents, leaders and interested
individuals. The group's responsibility is to ensure that meeting facilities are
available, ensure that leaders are available at the mandated leader/youth ratio,
ensure that equipment such as camping and game equipment are available and in
good working condition, planning of group events such as annual banquet, and
fundraising for all of the above.

We operate the following sections within our Group:

	Beaver Colony (youth aged 5-7)	"Swamprats" Colony	Monday	7:00 - 8:00 pm
	Cub Pack (youth aged 8-10)	"Iroquois" Pack	Tuesday	6:30 - 8:00 pm
	Scout Troop (youth aged 11 - 13)	"Thunderbird" Troop	Tuesday	7:30 - 9:30 pm
	Venturer/Rover Company (youth aged 14-17)	Venturer Company	Thursday	7:00 - 9:00 pm
	Group Committee	1st Meadowvale West Group Committee	1st Wednesday of every month.	7:00 pm

Registration Information 2007/2008

The fees for the current Scouting year, which runs from September to August, are as follows*:

First Child	$ 165
Second Child	$ 165
Subsequent Children	$ 160

* Fees include a Group T-shirt to be worn for informal Scouting events.
