1. Place the juice lid on the piece of scrap wood.
2. Punch two holes in the juice lid using the hammer and nail.
These holes should be about 1 cm apart and as close the centre of
the lid as possible.
3. Run the string through
both holes, as shown, and tie the ends together.
4. Wrap the "ends" of the string loop around
the clothespins.
5. With one clothespin in each hand, twirl the lid a few
times to start the string winding. Then, alternately, pull your hands
apart and bring them together slightly. It takes a lot of practice
to get it right, but once you do, you can get the lid spinning continuously.
