When you use a telephone,
you often just dial the number of the person that you want to call.
Many phone numbers, however, are specifically chosen because they
spell a word or phrase that is supposed to be easier to remember
than a long number. For example, you could have a number such as
1-555-BEA-VERS. That would be easier
to remember than a bunch of numbers. What if the telephone that
you wanted to use did not have letters on it? What if the letters
had worn off? Could you still dial the number?
Try this quiz. Enter the
letters that you think correspond to the numbers on the telephone
keypad on the right into the table above the keypad. To check your
answere, just click on the buttons on the keypad.
No
peeking though! After
all, this is a quiz.
